Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a home inspection?
A: An Arizona Home Inspection is the visual examination of the systems and components of the home. For example, was the roof installed per industry standards? Is it weathered, damaged, or in good shape? Is your roof at the end of its useful life? In some cases the roof just needs to be replaced.
In the attic space, are there any signs of roof leaks? Does your roof have insulation installed? We often find homes that are missing insulation (not good for the energy bill). We test your electrical circuits, plumbing, foundation, exterior, drainage, appliances and everything else under your roof. Please keep in mind that this is a very, very abbreviated list of what is required by the State of Arizona.
Q: How long does it take?
A: For every 1,000 square feet of inspection area, it’s about an hour. So if you have a 5,000 square foot house, it would take approximately 5 hours. If you have a 3,000 square foot house, it would take 3 hours.
